In this project Plot Line Media needed to showcase flooring and attract designers.

Flooret Designs, a top distributor of high-end flooring, aimed to boost brand visibility and engage interior designers and discerning consumers. The goal was to create compelling web and social videos that highlighted product quality and inspired viewers to join the Flooret designer program. The campaign had to be authentic, visually striking, and competitive in a crowded market.

We partnered with renowned interior designer Michael Carron, filming in his home during a renovation to showcase Flooret’s products in a genuine, aspirational setting. Carron’s firsthand experience and endorsement provided a credible testimonial for the Flooret brand.

The primary production took place in Carron’s renovated kitchen and family room.

We transformed these spaces into a dynamic set, with lighting that simulated natural daylight. Additional locations and camera movement enhanced the storytelling, capturing both the elegance and practical installation of the flooring.

A web series that delivered results

The Flooret brand film and web series were highly successful, attracting many views and engaging audiences long-term. The authentic interview with Carron resonated with both designers and consumers, increasing product awareness and interest in the designer program. Community One: Investing in Place, Investing in People

The Challenge - Long Term Video Production

Community One of Evansville, a nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods, needed a powerful storytelling tool to showcase its long-term impact. The goal was to create a film that would not only document the physical transformation of homes but also capture the spirit of community, faith, and neighborly love that drives their mission. The film had to serve as a compelling asset for fundraising, community engagement, and illustrating the profound effect of their work on residents' lives.

The Solution

We embarked on an ambitious five-year documentary project titled "Investing in Place, Investing in People." Partnering with director Chris Weatherly, Community One decided to follow the rehabilitation of three homes on a single block. This long-term, embedded approach allowed us to tell a deep, authentic story of transformation. To ensure the narrative was heartfelt and true to the organization's voice, we collaborated closely with Community One's Executive Director, Jessica Welcher, on the script.

The Results

The resulting film is a powerful testament to Community One’s mission. It serves as a vital media tool that effectively highlights the incredible journey of the homes and their new residents. The documentary has been instrumental in supporting fundraising efforts, fostering deeper community engagement, and creating a profound sense of belonging. Atlas Van Lines: Navigating Change with Transparency

The Challenge

Atlas Van Lines, a global leader in the moving industry, faced a critical turning point as the market shifted toward smaller, more flexible moves. To survive and thrive, the company made the difficult decision to raise prices, knowing that it was a bold move that required precise, delicate communication. The challenge was to explain this necessity to customers in a way that maintained trust and demonstrated leadership during a period of significant industry evolution.

The Solution

Partnering with the Chicago-based agency, we developed a strategy centered on radical transparency. The centerpiece was an influential film featuring CEO Jack Griffin, designed to deliver the message directly from the top. Director Chris Weatherly was brought on for his expertise in high-level client communication and his ability to direct corporate leaders on location, ensuring the CEO’s message felt authentic, heartfelt, and authoritative.

The Execution

The production was a logistical feat spanning four days across two major locations: Evansville, Indiana, and Washington D.C.. In Evansville, we created an "urban vibe" to reflect modern moving trends, managing the complexities of recording audio on busy streets while coordinating full-sized Atlas trucks and vans. We utilized local professional van operators to ensure every frame felt authentic to the brand.

The Washington D.C. leg presented a different set of hurdles. We utilized location scouts and local crews to find the perfect backdrops and navigated the rigorous permitting process required to film in the capital without interference from local authorities. This multi-city approach allowed us to capture the scale and professionalism of the Atlas network.

The Results

The "Atlas Rest" message resonated powerfully across the transportation sector. By clearly articulating that the price changes were driven by the industry's overall well-being rather than just profit, Atlas successfully turned a potential PR risk into a reputation-building success. The campaign led to an increase in market share and further established Atlas Van Lines as a trustworthy, decisive leader in the global moving industry.

19 nine: Capturing the Madness of Hardwood History.

The Challenge

19 nine, an Indiana-based apparel company (now owned by Slam) celebrated for its premium retro college basketball gear, needed a powerful promotional video for its 2022 March Madness collection. The campaign had to capture the brand's unique "Hardwood History" ethos and cut through the noise of the busiest season in college basketball to drive record sales and engagement.

The Solution

Plot Line Media developed a concept that embraced a gritty, nostalgic aesthetic. We chose an abandoned manufacturing plant as our location to create an atmosphere of industrial decay, a perfect raw backdrop for retro-inspired apparel. The decision to shoot overnight was strategic, allowing us to craft a spooky yet cool vibe that would make the campaign unforgettable and distinct from typical sports promotions.

The Execution

In a single, focused overnight shoot, the Plotline team brought the vision to life. We used LED lighting tubes to cast dramatic, moody light throughout the vast, empty space. This technique, combined with dynamic gimbal camera work and innovative editing, created a high-energy, visually arresting film. The entire project was executed with precision, capturing all necessary footage in one day to maximize efficiency and creative impact.

Redstitch: Capturing the Energy of Digital Innovation

The Challenge

Redstitch, a vibrant digital marketing agency in Evansville, Indiana, needed a brand video that reflected its energetic spirit and comprehensive suite of services. The challenge was to distill their diverse offerings—from SEO and web design to strategic consulting—into a single, high-octane visual narrative that would enhance their online visibility and establish them as a regional creative leader.

The Solution

The strategy focused on using the agency’s own "creative hub" as the primary backdrop. Director Chris Weatherly decided to lean into the lively, emerging nature of the agency by filming on-site at the Red Stitch offices. The solution was to create a fast-moving brand video that used the office's natural, inspiring environment to mirror the team's enthusiasm and professional passion.

The production was defined by motion and light. Chris Weatherly both directed and shot the project. Weatherly worked tightly with a small crew to light the beautifully aesthetic Redstitch offices. To capture the "fast-moving" world of advertising, we employed swift camera movements and rapid editing. The film features a series of quick cuts, unconventional shots, and intimate interviews, all designed to create a sense of momentum and showcase the people behind the innovation.

The Results

The final video significantly bolstered Redstitch’s reputation, successfully positioning the agency as a powerhouse of regional creativity throughout Southern Indiana. By highlighting their commitment to quality and innovation, the project has attracted new clients and high-tier talent. The positive feedback from both the internal team and external prospects confirms the video's success in strengthening Redstitch's market position.

Building Blocks: Ollie’s Story – A Tribute to Bravery

The Challenge

Building Blocks of Southern Indiana sought to address one of the most heartbreaking and misunderstood tragedies: "Forgotten Baby Syndrome." The challenge was to produce a film that could educate the public on the consequences of unintentional heatstroke in vehicles while treating the subject matter with the utmost sensitivity. The goal was to transform a parents' unimaginable grief into a sincere call for awareness, preventing future tragedies without exploiting the family’s pain.

The Solution

The Plot Line Media team approached this project with a deep passion for authentic, respectful storytelling. We believed that the most powerful way to convey this message was through the heartfelt words of the parents themselves. To protect the family during such a delicate process, we developed a minimalist production strategy: a crew of only two people. This allowed us to build a bond of trust with the Dill family, ensuring they felt safe and respected while sharing the story of their son, Ollie.

The Execution

The production was handled with profound care, beginning with intimate interviews in a controlled studio environment before moving to the family’s home for supporting footage. To evoke genuine emotion and add depth to the narrative, we captured footage of Ollie’s personal belongings, creating a visual tribute that felt both authentic and sacred. The small, two-person crew remained nearly invisible, allowing the family's strength and love to take center stage. Every frame was shot with the intent of honoring Ollie’s memory and the Dills' courage.

The Results

Ollie’s story has resonated far and wide, serving as a vital educational tool that has likely saved lives. The film’s excellence and emotional impact were recognized with an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award. In a gesture of honor and respect, the Plot Line team presented the Emmy trophy to the Dill family, acknowledging their incredible bravery in sharing their pain to help others. Ollie and the Dill family remain heroes in our eyes, and their story continues to inspire a global commitment to preventing such tragic accidents.

Upgrade: Making Healthy Choices the Easy Choice

The Challenge

In a world where unhealthy options are almost always accessible, the Welborn Baptist Foundation sought to flip the script with its "Upgrade" initiative. The challenge was to communicate a complex, multi-layered mission—promoting better nutrition, physical activity, and mental wellness for students—into a digestible and inspiring message. The campaign needed to reach parents, educators, and the community to prove that small, habitual changes can lead to a lifetime of thriving.

The Solution

The strategy was to move beyond abstract health advice and showcase the "Upgrade" mission in action. We planned a series of compelling social media commercials and web shorts that highlighted the real-world impact on students and schools. By featuring a mix of regional actors alongside actual educators and schoolchildren, we ensured the message remained authentic and relatable, grounding the initiative’s evidence-based programs in a positive, community-focused environment.

The Execution

Plotline Media utilized a streamlined, highly versatile crew to maximize budget efficiency without sacrificing production value. Led by Director/DP Chris Weatherly, the team—including a Gaffer and Camera Assistant—effectively managed dynamic filming across various regional locations. To add a cinematic and aspirational feel to the campaign, we captured breathtaking drone footage of sunset scenes in local parks, providing a visual metaphor for the "uplifting" nature of the program.

The final media was well-received by the Welborn Baptist Foundation and effectively conveyed the importance of healthy habits to the community.
